what is the meaning of Off-the-shelf
I have faced when I was reading OSGI documentation there was a speech
"So we advice to use an off-shelve bundled OSGi container with already prepared and tested features"
in this sentence gives idea about it ,you could use software that works straight away (and fit for purpose) without the need for configuration. Out-of-the-box is also used to similar effect
